      Declan Galbraith是居住在英国肯特郡的爱尔兰男孩，在许多方面他是一个普通的 10 岁的男孩，喜欢电脑游戏，游泳和足球。他和他的父母和六岁妹妹住，堂兄弟姊妹是他最好的朋友。

      但是 Declan 不只是一个普通的10岁男孩。小时候，Declan Galbraith和他的祖父度过。 祖父是音乐家。 和爱尔兰的民谣乐团演奏传统的爱尔兰音乐，他们到处在酒吧和俱乐部等地方演唱，Declan 与祖父乐团搭配并学习演唱。在他的祖父去逝之后,他继承了祖父的演唱事业。

     4岁开始展露歌唱天赋；8岁那年，他开始参加一些音乐比赛，并在14个月中曾经获得16个大奖。他获得了词作家Barry Mason（写过LastWaltz-最后的华尔兹的作者）的欣赏，从此一发不可收。他的第一张专辑（Declan）就是献给他祖父的。

     Declan的声音，清亮脱俗，演唱歌曲的范畴也是极广。从流行的Angels之类到Carrickfergus这样传统的爱尔兰歌曲，他都把握得不错。而他的心愿却是有一天能有几首属于“DeclanGalbraith”的歌。
